Lebo Yellow Ribbon Club hosted a community picnic and candlelight vigil on Sunday, April 6th. The event was to be held outdoors at the West Park but was moved indoors due to weather.
The evening was a powerful and memorable event filled with music, support, and remembrance.
Community members enjoyed a beautiful performance from a live bluegrass band and shared valuable mental health resources. Children participated in an egg hunt- with 200 eggs!
But the most moving moment came during our candlelight vigil and moment of silence, where we honored the lives lost to suicide and held space for hope & healing for the friends and family affected by the loss. 🎗️
Shout-out to CrossWinds Counseling & Wellness and Beacon for Hope Suicide Prevention for attending our event and providing the community with resources.
Thank you to everyone who joined us to support this important cause. Together, we can make a difference. 💛
And a special thank you to our Yellow Ribbon Club sponsors, students and administration! Check out the website for more information about the Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention Program- https://yellowribbon.org/
