I have coached volleyball, basketball, track, and softball.
My husband and I live in Emporia with our 8 month old daughter, Taytum. My husband works at Emporia State as the Assistant Director of Recreation Services. We have two dogs; our Beagle, Lilah, and our red Lab, Ember. I am a KSHSAA official for volleyball and basketball. I love sports and enjoy staying involved in them. I also like to ride my bike, play slow-pitch softball, go to the lake, and any other activity I can in my spare time. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
I am excited to join the Lebo family! I look forward to getting to know my students and being involved in the community!
Debra Rundus- Preschool
This August, I will be celebrating my 29th anniversary with my husband, Lance. We have five children, a son-in-law, a daughter-in-law, and three grandchildren. We lived in Cameroon, west Africa, for eight years. I love to travel because I love to learn about new places and try new adventures. My background is in music education and I love attending concerts with my husband and my best friend. Every city I visit, I go to the art museum and bookstores. I also love zoos, craft stores, thrift stores, pet stores, and any excuse to wear a fun costume.
I have over twenty years experience working in education. The last two are in early childhood special education and over eight years in early childhood music education. I am presently studying to earn my Master of Science in Early Childhood Unified from Emporia State University in May of 2024. I am very excited to meet the Pre-K students and their families. I can’t wait to join the community learning The Lebo Way!

Our family enjoys making music together. Besides teaching music, I also lead worship. I look forward to an awesome year full of beautiful music!
Judy McCoy- High School Human Anatomy & Physiology, Biology
About me- I grew up in Ohio in a small town not much bigger than Lebo. I went to Ohio State University and graduated with a degree in Respiratory Therapy. Several years after graduation, I had the desire to get my Master's and really wanted to experience a new area of the United States. I landed in Kansas City and had the opportunity to work in a variety of health care settings while completing my Masters in Health Service Management. I moved to Emporia after meeting my husband. 27 years later, I retired from Newman Regional Health and continued working with my husband in our business. We are the parents of his 3 children and grandparents to 6. Our home is completed with a dog and cat.
I have always had a passion for teaching and had been considering sub teaching. When the opportunity to long-term sub for Biology and Anatomy/Physiology it just felt like the right fit for me! I am looking forward to sharing my life and health care experiences with students at Lebo!
